For purposes of the song, I've taken wide liberty with the words, intending them to send a message from my heart, one that I pray my child hears. However, in the context from the listener's point of view, the song is about a lost love, one that holds tremendous regret for the break up of a relationship.


Meade Steadman on sax, lead instrument in this song. It was hot, he's wearing black, and probably lost 10 pounds in the shoot. Perhaps I should have worn black too.
We all got sunburned, and the salt was brutal. It was hard being on the salt for 7 hours. Imagine what the early explorers crossing this desert must have experienced.


Playing the piano in the hundred plus degree heat. I was terrified that the heat was going to damage this wonderful $60,000.00 instrument loaned to us by YAMAHA and the Piano Superstore of Murray, Utah. YAMAHA has been a terrific supporter of mine for many years, helping with many children's projects, and recordings with Jim Brickman. Thank you Susan and Lori!!

Working on this video was a sheer joy. Brian M, our camera operator, was awesome. He kept looking for those hard to get angles, because on the salt, the sun is reflected everywhere. We had to contend with wind, rain, heat, wet salt, sand, truckers driving by, all the while being concerned with a very expensive piano, a very expensive brass bed, and trying to beat the tornado that hit the city. When our cameraman and his room mate arrived back at their home, they found the tornado had devastated their residence. If they'd not been on the shoot, severe injury to one of them was highly likely. A foot-thick tree had penetrated a wall in their home, and was found lying in the center of their bed.
